seedbed:failed.version, 2011: video performance online y performance instalativa, medidas variables, duración abierta (performance en colaboración con Saúl Sellés)
En 1972 el artista Vito Acconci realiza en la Galería Sonnabend (New York) su acción seedbed (semillero). Bajo un falso suelo el artista, oculto, hablaba y se masturbaba mientras el público andaba “sobre él”.

seedbed: failed.version, tras la espectacularización corporal propiciada por la web 2.0, se propone como una reinterpretación de la obra de Acconci donde abordar cuestiones como la domesticidad pornográfica, la incapacidad del contacto artista-espectador y la explicitación del proceso creativo. La primera seedbed:failed.version fue patrocinada en 2011 por HOMESESSION art Project & artists’ residency (Barcelona). El proceso de construcción del dispositivo de la performance reunió varios miles de seguidores en CAM4, culminando el proyecto con una instalación y acción.
La obra seedbed:failed.version se estructura como una versión no acabada de la obra de Acconci, donde la obra original es una excusa para el ensayo permanente y la explicitación tautológica del proceso de trabajo. Más allá de mi trabajo habitual seriado, cada puesta en escena de seedbed es más bien una reinterpretación de la anterior, una adaptación contextual y una obra nueva /

Javi Moreno’s project, seedbed: failed.version, starts from the legendary action Seedbed, that Vito Acconci performed in 1972 in the Sonnabend Gallery (New York). Hidden underneath a ramp, the artist spoke and masturbated while the audience walked “over him”.

seedbed: failed.version takes as a starting point the transformation of the body into a spectacle through the web 2.0 and proposes to re-interpret Acconci’s work, dealing with questions such as the pornographic domesticity, the artificial link established between the artist and the audience as well as the strategies of communication of the creative process. The first seedbed: failed.version was sponsored in 2011 by HOMESESSION art Project & artists’ residency (Barcelona). The building process of the system that was used for the performance has gathered thousands of followers on CAM4, culminating with an installation project and action.
Now the piece seedbed: failed.version structured like a non finished cover from Acconci work. where the original work ,Works like an excuse to the ongoing essay and the tautological work process show. Farther on from my regular and serial work, each seebed act seems to be a reinterpretation from the previous seebed performance. It adapts to the new context and becomes a new piece /
